1901. Walter (Walt) Disney is born.

1905. The New Zealand national team tours in the British Isles and become known as the All Blacks.

1906. The South African national team tours in the British Isles and makes itself known as the Sprinbokken (Sprinboks today).
- The Rugby League reduces the number of team players from fifteen to thirteen.

1908. The Australian national team tours the British Isles and adopt the name of Wallabies instead of Wolves.

1910. The first international rugby game is played at Twickenham.
- With the incorporation of France the first Five Nations tournament is played.

1914/ 1918. No activity because of the First World War. One hundred and eleven international players lose their lives.

1923. Rugby celebrates its first century of existence.

1924. The Uruguayan national association football team wins the championship in the Olympic Games.

1925. The Murrayfield stadium is inaugurated in Edimburgh.

1926. Australia, South Africa and New Zealand are admitted by the I.R.F.B.

1928. The Uruguayan national association football team wins the championship in the Olympic Games for the second time.

1930. The Uruguayan national association football team wins the first World Championship.

1931. France is expelled from the Five Nations championship on suspicios that its players receive benefits for playing.

1939/1945. No activity because of the second World War.
- On leaving the Montevideo harbour and surprising all the spectators gathered in the event, the German battleship Graf Spee is autodestroyed to avoid being captured by a few and smaller British warships.
- Sigmund Freud dies.

1945. The Montevideo Cricket Club moves for the second time to new premises near the town of Sayago.
- The first Argentine Provincial championship is played with the participation of the Montevideo Cricket Club as a guest team.

1946. Carlos E. Cat (“Charlie”) is appointed President of the Montevideo Cricket Club.

1947. International Rugby restart activities and France is allowed to return to the Five Nations tournament.
- Rugby rules: Drop kicks reduce its scroring value from four to three points.

1948. The Australian Rugby Union is founded.

1950. The first interclubs rugby game is played in Uruguay between the Montevideo Cricket Club and the Carrasco Polo Club.

1951. The Uruguayan Rugby Union is founded. Outstanding members of the Montevideo Cricket Club become members of the first Committee: Carlos E. Cat (“Charlie”) as President, Henry Stanley Bowles (son of the member that had scored the first association football goal for Uruguay ) as Vice-President and Domingo “Mingo” Tricanico as member together with James Yorston, J.J. Nery, D.G. Mac Cormack and R. Sedgfield, members of the Montevideo Cricket Club.
- The first uruguayan rugby championship is played and is won by the Montevideo Cricket Club team, becoming the first uruguayan rugby champion.

1955. The Montevideo Cricket Club moves for the third time to new premises in Carrasco, Montevideo.

1958. The first South American rugby championship is played in Chile

1959. The Scottish Rugby Union installs heating in their Murrayfield stadium with the first most important sponsorship, allowing rugby activities during winter.
- The tomb of William Webb Ellis is found in southern France.

1961. The Montevideo Cricket Club celebrates its first one hundred years of uninterrupted existence.

1965. The Argentinian Pumas step in on a South African tour.

1967. New Zealand cancels a South African tour due to the apartheid which banned non-white players thus prescribing Maoris to play in their team.

1969. Man lands on the moon.

1971. Hugo Porta plays his first international match with the Pumas in the South American championship played in Uruguay.
